Lady Bug Lipstick By MAC Review and Swatches
MAC Brave Red Lipstick ($17.00 for 0.10 oz.) is a medium-dark red with warm, yellow undertones and cream finish with very faint pearl. The consistency was lightly creamy with enough slip to give it a natural shine but it did not slide around while I wore it. It had semi-opaque color coverage that applied evenly and did not gather in my lip lines. This creamy matte lipstick features high colour payoff in a no-shine matte finish. The perfect matte formulation of the iconic product that made MAC famous.

I can smell spring in the air can't you!? I already have the ickies to get my neon and bright nail paints and vests and clutches out along with glossy bright lipsticks, breaking away from my ongoing nude phase when cult reds like my favorite Russian red even feels too heavy and too much (yes beat me up!) I had to opt for a underrated beautiful red from MAC! Lady Bug (its honestly the cutest of all the MAC names) which I will review and swatch today.
MAC Claims: MAC describes Lady Bug as a yellow tomato red in a Lustre finish
The color Lady Bug is indeed a gorgeous yellow-based red, not so bright and OTT that it will eclipse everything else of your ensemble, neither so insignificant that nobody will stop and ask what lipstick you are wearing. It keeps both sides of the scale and is a winner for both day and night time looks, brightening up any tired face instantly. Connect xbox controller to mac.
The pigmentation is semi-sheer to moderate, can be built up to opaque in 2-3 swipes easily without feeling heavy or caked up easily hides minor lip imperfections or pigmentation.
The finish is one of my favorites (me being a glossy pout gal) the Lustre finish which fails to find favor with some for their lesser pigmentation and glossier finish, the 2 qualities which make me love them most. This 1 is also no exception, smooth, glossy, non-thick, non-sticky, applies easily even on the driest lips without balm and does not emphasize fine lines/dry patches. A juicy hawt pout!
In staying power it is less than other finishes from MAC, lasting for an average of 2-3 hours and wipes away without any stain at the end of a meal.
Being a part of permanent range, Lady Bug comes in their regular black-silver packaging with sleek body and tight click-cap, user friendly and easy to carry.

VNA Rating: 4.5/5
Do I recommend? MAC Lady Bug Lipstick is great. For the perfect glossy bright uber-gorgeous red pout fix, look nowhere else than this very non-hyped, underrated MAC red! I swear if I got a 50 paisa coin for every time I come across Ruby Woo daily in the blogosphere I am literally sick of it (sold it off too!) and though I am not comparing by any means (the finishes and colors are poles apart!) am just saying this 1 deserves some hype and praise as well. For first timers peering nervously and wishing they could carry off a red without being glaringly OTT this might be your answer. So do check out!
I hope you liked the shade as much as I do. Till my next review do stay tuned (I know its not a tv just wanted to use that word somewhere!) bubyee and lots of love!

MAC Lipstick Collection: Swatches of Red and Pink Shades
Here comes the swatch post again! MAC has so many good red and pink shades in its permanent lipsticks range that its just not possible for a store to have them all at one time. I always come across some new shades everytime I pay these stores a visit. Actually I change the store everytime! Sometimes its Select City Walk or Pacific Mall, the other times its Ambience or DLF Promenade. Today I got some swatches of the entire Viva Glam range and the new Huggable Lip Colour collection! Patience girls.those swatch posts will follow soon. But today I've some of the most favourite and infact almost all the good red shades from MAC. And since I had some arm space left, I collected some pink ones too to add to the post I did before: MAC Pink Lipstick Swatches.
Mac se games. I took a lot of of swatches.some in direct sunlight and the others in natural light. So I'm putting all of them up.

Russian Red: A deep creamy warm red. Mac like os for pc. Follow the link for full review.
Cockney: A lustre warm red with sheer finish.
Ruby Woo: Cult favourite and my love! Retro matte finish in blue based red.

These are infact the best red lipsticks MAC has. The are a couple of others but those were OOS. I want MAC Red next.
Pink Lipsticks:
Lovelorn: A sheer dirty pink. A lighter version of Cosmo and Mehr.
Mac Lipstick Swatches Temptalia
Lickable: A bright deep raspberry pink. Reminds me of Girl About Town.
Pink Lipstick Swatches
Chatterbox: A true pale pink which suits fair skin tones. Follow the link for full review.
Plumful: A plummy pink. Suits dark skin tones a lot.
Up The Amp: a lavender purple. Quite different from plums and raspberries around.
Saint German: A very light and cool toned purple pink. So Nicki Minaj.
Lustering: A lustre plummy pink. A lighter version of Plumful.
MAC has a lot of plums and berries. Although those are not my cup of tea but I'm liking Lickable a lot.
Yep that's my bag you see
Who says you can't have fun while you work? Infact beauty blogging is such an enjoyable career. Shruti and I spent an entire day behind lipstick counters in MAC, Inglot, Lancome, Bobbi Brown, Sephora, Colorbar and royally pissed of the SAs by being Ms.Know-it-alls. I just can't stop myself from correcting those MUAs whenever they get a fact wrong. Its criminal to say 'very pretty shade. A hit in our store. Suits all skin tones' to every damn shade and shove it in your face. But it was hilarious and fun. So you girls can look forward to more such swatch posts coming soon!
